Our Dental Technology
Below is some of the exciting dental care technology used at DentaCare Group.
Soft Tissue Laser
If excess gum tissue is partially obscuring your teeth, a soft-tissue laser can reshape your gums, giving your smile an attractive new frame.
Intraoral Camera
The intra-oral camera allows Dr. Podilsky to take a close look inside your mouth. This tiny camera takes images of your teeth that come up on a monitor, allowing you to see what he sees. That way, you can discuss your concerns with Dr. Podilsky before treatment even begins, and you will have a better understanding of the procedure. Digital cameras are used to take pictures of your teeth that can be printed out for you and the dentist to see.
i-CAT® Cone Beam 3D Imaging
When placing dental implants, the dentist must carefully plan the best positioning for the implant, taking care to avoid interference with the sinuses and other structures. To help your dentist determine the best approach to your dental implants, we use I-CAT® digital x-rays, which produces a high-resolution images while emitting less radiation than traditional x-rays.
Computer and Imaging Software
Computers are a good tool for people who are considering having cosmetic work done on their teeth, but are unsure if it is right for them. Computers allow you to see a realistic image of what your new smile will look like before treatment begins. An image is taken of your teeth, and through computer imaging you can see what they will look like after your dental work is completed. This can help you decide which procedure is best for you.
CEREC®
CEREC® is an exciting new development in the world of dental restorations that allows you to receive a custom-made porcelain crown in a single visit. A digital scan of your mouth guides automated diamond-tipped milling tools in crafting a crown from a single block of porcelain. In a fraction of the time needed to receive a conventional crown, you can be ready to face the world with a beautifully restored smile.
Tekscan
Tekscan's T-Scan® is a digital occlusal analysis system that is used to determine the stability of a patient's bite by measuring the level and timing of force on individual teeth. With this digital software system, Dr. Podilsky can accurately and precisely assess and treat his patients' occlusal problems. This results in fewer adjustments and repeat visits to the office.
Lightwalker Laser
The Lightwalker Laser is a system that has made dental treatments faster, easier to perform, and more precise. The patented quantum square pulse (QSP) makes it highly-effective for hard- and soft-tissue treatments, including cosmetic dental procedures, endodontics, implantology, and periodontics. In addition to the clinical advantages, patients often experience less discomfort and a shorter recovery time.
Digital x-rays
Although they are predominantly used to diagnose existing dental problems such as cavities and periodontal disease, digital x-rays can also be used in preventive dentistry. X-rays help us examine your overall oral health, including the condition of the tooth roots, surrounding bone, as well as the development of new teeth.
Periowave™ Laser
Typically used after a scaling and root planing procedure, Periowave™ is a non-invasive, anti-inflammatory treatment that can also be used for chronic periodontal disease, endodontics, and peri-implantitis. This laser technology can painlessly treat infected tissue without damaging root surfaces, dental materials, and surrounding tissues. Unlike antibiotic treatments, Periowave™ can effectively destroy harmful bacteria and toxins without causing bacterial resistance, allergic reactions, or sensitivity issues.
VELscope® for Cancer Screening
VELscope® is a handheld oral assessment system that can be used in conjunction with an oral exam to help with early detection of oral abnormalities, including cancerous and pre-cancerous cells. Unlike other methods that require dyes or prolonged testing, the VELscope® system emits a harmless, blue light that exposes abnormal tissue changes.
Spa Dent Whitening
Spa Dent is a gel-based whitening solution that safely and effectively whitens teeth by lightening and eliminating dental stains. The gel, combined with the latest LED technologies, can dramatically whiten a patient's smile in just one appointment. And, since it is PH neutral and contains no silica, Spa Dent is safe for your tooth enamel, resulting in little to no tooth or gum sensitivity.
